David Adams Films

Tanya Wagner has a background in acting, film production and advertising, with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies (cum Laude) from Concordia University in Montreal. She began her career at Young & Rubicam, Johannesburg, South Africa and in the last twelve years has worked in film production with numerous international production houses producing close on ninety television commercials. 2004 brought new opportunities with Spier Holdings' "Season South Africa" project, where she assisted in the planning and execution of a contemporary visual and performing arts programme presented in New York. She was Associate Producer of the highly acclaimed feature film U-Carmen eKhayelitsha, winner of the 2005 Golden Bear for Best Film at the 55th Berlinale International Film Festival, which was also included in the official festival selection in Cannes, Toronto and London the same year. At present she is a freelance producer developing an original screenplay This Way to Paradise and is based in Australia where she consults for David Adams Films, marketing and developing documentary films.
